The construction OSHA-10 (10 hours) is highly recommended for all construction field personnel. It serves as the benchmark for introductory jobsite safety and OSHA compliance education. The OSHA-30 (30 hours) offers a more expansive and in-depth coverage of OSHA and safety/health-related topics. This program is most often attended by safety directors, competent persons, foremen/supervisory personnel, safety committee members & safety administrators.
Scope & emphasis Discussion of hazards that account for 90% of jobsite fatalities and 75% of OSHA construction citations and fines. Basic requirements of OSHA’s top 10 most-frequently cited construction standards. Emphasis on identification and control of the "Big 4" jobsite hazards (fall, electrical, struck-by & caught in/between). The OSHA-30 allows more time to expand upon exposures & regulations having the most impact on client’s operation. Expanded discussion of OSHA’s top 30 most-frequently cited construction standards, inspection protocol, interpretations and cross-over regulations. Emphasis on roles and duties of the competent person and how s/he can effectively manage jobsite safety.
